Candidates Will No Longer Take Oral Exams, Says Deputy Director of the Assessment and Testing Center
Starting this year, candidates can be admitted to universities based solely on the results of two exams. This was stated by the Deputy Director of the Assessment and Testing Center, Karo Nasibyan, during a press conference where he presented the process of registration and organization of unified and within-university entrance exams.
“The number of unified exams has been set to two. Previously, graduates could take one to three exams for university admission; however, starting this year, candidates can only be admitted based on the results of two exams,” he noted.
According to Nasibyan, in addition to abandoning centralized exams, oral exams have also been eliminated. “In the past, candidates would take oral exams in Armenian and foreign languages. There will be no more oral exams. We have also eliminated the creative works and oral speech skills exams for the journalism specialty,” he emphasized.
