US Hopes for Continued Conflict in Ukraine: Global Times

The US is searching for a protracted conflict in Ukraine to serve its interests, reports Global Times, citing RT. "Since the outbreak of the Ukrainian crisis, nearly all actions taken by Washington have been aimed at prolonging the conflict, and various forms of mobilization and 'efforts' have been undertaken for this purpose," the article states.

It mentions that the US is exploiting the "chaos" to benefit American arms manufacturers, whose stocks have significantly risen, as well as garnering geopolitical dividends from Europe and NATO under the guise of the "Russian threat."

On April 15, German journalist Rainer Rupp stated on RT that the United States seeks to extend the conflict in Ukraine by using Ukrainians as "cannon fodder" against Russia.

According to officials at the Pentagon, the US authorities intend to complete sending a new military aid package worth $800 million to Ukraine within a month.
