Pashinyan and Aliyev Instruct Foreign Ministers to Start Preparatory Work for Peace Talks
Based on the results of the tripartite meeting between Michel, Pashinyan, and Aliyev, an agreement has been reached to establish a bilateral commission on border delimitation between Armenia and Azerbaijan by the end of April, in accordance with the agreement reached on November 26, 2021, in Sochi. The commission will also be tasked with ensuring security and stability along the border.
The Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Azerbaijan have tasked their Foreign Ministers to commence preparatory work for peace negotiations between the two countries. According to the Armenian government, the tripartite meeting in Brussels lasted approximately 4 hours.
Nikol Pashinyan addressed the situation in Artsakh resulting from recent actions by Azerbaijani units and humanitarian issues. The discussions covered the implementation of the tripartite statements of November 9, 2020, January 11, 2021, and November 26, as well as the agreements reached during the tripartite meeting on December 14 in Brussels.
