Russia Strikes with Iskander Missiles, Says Russian Defense Ministry
The armed forces of the Russian Federation have destroyed four warehouses of weapons and military equipment belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces using Iskander missiles, as well as three areas where enemy personnel were concentrated. This was announced on Monday by the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov, according to TASS.
"The missile forces struck with high-precision ground-based Iskander missiles. Four warehouses of arms and military equipment were destroyed, as well as three areas of concentration of enemy personnel near Popasna, Yampol, and Kramatorsk," he stated.
According to Konashenkov, the Russian Armed Forces also destroyed 16 Ukrainian military sites with precision missiles, including five command posts, a fuel depot, three ammunition depots, as well as personnel and military equipment. He added that Russian air defense systems shot down two Ukrainian fighters—two MiG-29s and one Su-25. Additionally, 11 Ukrainian drones were also shot down in the air.
During the night, Russian artillery units targeted 315 Ukrainian military objects, he concluded.
