3 Tons of Cocaine Found on Ship in Spain, 4 Turkish Citizens Arrested
The Spanish Coast Guard discovered approximately 3 tons of cocaine aboard a fishing vessel in the waters around the Canary Islands. According to Ermenihaber.am, the fishing vessel named 'AKT 1' was located and seized about 555 kilometers from the islands.
The ship's five-member crew was arrested, including four Turkish citizens and one Georgian national. It is reported that the market value of the cocaine found in one of the ship's fuel tanks is estimated at 72 million dollars.
