Major Fire in Ejmiadzin: Shack Reduced to Ashes, Charred Body Discovered

On April 16, a tragic incident occurred in the Armavir region. Around 8:00 PM, the Emergency Situations Ministry's Rescue Service 911 crisis management center received an alarm reporting a shack burning in the second district of Charents in the city of Ejmiadzin.

According to shamshyan.com from the scene, two firefighting teams from the Emergency Situations Ministry's Ejmiadzin Fire and Rescue Division promptly arrived. The firefighters first prevented the spread of the fire within the iron shack and then extinguished it.

The shack was completely reduced to a pile of ashes, and firefighters discovered one body inside.

Hours later, Deputy Head of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Vagharshapat Police, Albert Avagyan, determined that the shack was home to 67-year-old Sargis Hovhannisyan and 89-year-old Katerina Sargsyan.
