Major and Tragic Car Accident in Aragatsotn Province: 1 Dead, 5 Injured

Today, on April 17, a major and tragic car accident occurred in Aragatsotn Province. At around 17:20, two cars, a Mercedes and a VAZ-2106, collided head-on in the vicinity of the village of Mastara on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway at kilometer 76.

According to shamshyan.com from the scene, one person died on the spot, and five others were transported with bodily injuries — two to the Talin Medical Center and three to the ‘Astghik’ Medical Center in Yerevan.

Civilians were the first to assist the injured, followed by emergency doctors from the Talin Hospital and firefighters. The firefighters subsequently deactivated the vehicles, secured the gas cylinders, and cordoned off the area.

The police and investigative department are working to determine the identities of the drivers, deceased, and injured parties.
