The National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh Issues Crucial Political Statement: Turkologist

The National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh has issued a crucial political statement. “We demand that the authorities of the Republic of Armenia abandon their current disastrous stance...,” wrote Turkologist Varoujan Geghamyan on Facebook. “No government has the right to lower the negotiating standards for an unacceptable status for Artsakh under the pretext of peace, as well as undermine the internationally recognized right to self-determination. On behalf of the Artsakh Armenians, we appeal to the global Armenian community to stand united and determined beside Armenia and Artsakh, our brothers and sisters” (the full text is available in the comments).

“After all this, all political and social groups and individuals claiming to support the Armenian identity of Artsakh are obliged to prove this in action and eliminate the de facto pro-Turkish authorities, which is the only real path to save Artsakh and the Armenian statehood. Any other step, project, program, or discussion that does not place the removal of the treacherous government as a goal diverts from the Armenian agenda and contributes to the Turkification of Armenia.”
