Russia Claims Zelensky Will Personally Answer if Medvedchuk Faces Consequences
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will personally answer if anything happens to the opposition figure, Vladimir Putin's associate Viktor Medvedchuk. This was stated by State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, as reported by TASS.
“If something happens to Viktor Medvedchuk, Zelensky will have to answer personally,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.
“Medvedchuk has advocated for the support of an independent Ukraine and the governance of a non-block state. The main difference between him and Zelensky is that the Ukrainian president dances to the tune of the American flute. That is why neither Washington nor Brussels supports Medvedchuk, while the Ukrainian president is trying to present him as a traitor by putting him in handcuffs,” he added.
It is noteworthy that Viktor Medvedchuk, known for his friendly ties with Putin, was arrested on Tuesday. Zelensky posted a picture of him handcuffed on his social media.
