Monthly $7 Billion Aid: Zelensky's Latest Request to the European Commission
Ukraine requires financial assistance of $7 billion per month for salaries and social benefits. This figure was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky during a meeting with Ursula von der Leyen, the head of the European Commission, as reported by Bloomberg citing sources.
Zelensky reportedly made this statement last week during von der Leyen's visit to Kyiv.
Bloomberg's sources also revealed that Zelensky briefed the European Commission head on Ukraine's issues related to grain exports. In response, von der Leyen assured that Europe intends to assist in facilitating the supply process by implementing expedited border crossing procedures.
