Let Armenians Be a Little Brave: Cavusoglu

Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu stated in an interview with Turkish NTV that they have proposed to hold meetings of special representatives from Armenia and Turkey either in Turkey or Armenia. He even mentioned that they are willing to come to Yerevan first, but the Armenian side declined, suggesting to meet in a third country.

“I want to say to Armenia: Fine, you may be under pressure, the process is difficult, a part of the diaspora is against the resolution, but is there still a need to meet in a third country? If we can't agree on holding meetings in our countries, how are we going to take steps on other issues? I'm not saying this to accuse anyone, but let Armenians be a little brave,” the Turkish official declared.

Cavusoglu also noted that there will be clear steps regarding relations with Armenia and that all parties in the South Caucasus should work to normalize their relationships. “Of course, these things do not happen overnight. Our special representatives will meet again,” he added.
