Brutal Beating of Gas Station Director in Vayots Dzor Province, Suspect Includes MP's Son

The Vayk Police Department is preparing materials regarding an incident that occurred in the Vayots Dzor Province.

According to Shamshyan.com, the senior operative of the criminal investigation unit of the Vayk Police received operational information that on April 2, between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM, unidentified individuals entered the office of Vahé Asatryan, the 45-year-old director of the gas station belonging to Tamsar LLC located at the beginning of Vayk city, and without any demands, subjected him to a beating. One of the assailants struck Asatryan with a metal rod before fleeing the scene.

Officers from the Vayots Dzor regional administration and the Vayk Police Department are undertaking necessary operational-investigative measures to clarify the circumstances of the incident, identify the individuals who committed the crime, and locate the object used in the crime.

According to G. Shamshyan, the gas station director, V. Asatryan, has declined to file a report regarding the incident. The police also have information, which is being verified, that among those who assaulted the director is the son of one of the members of the National Assembly, who played a significant role and was the one who hit the gas station director with the metal rod.
