Ani Samsonyan: 'Stop and admit that you deceived the people' to Serge Sargsyan and Robert Kocharyan
Former MP and member of the 'Bright Armenia' faction, Ani Samsonyan, addressed Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's speech in the National Assembly today and noted that Pashinyan has finally publicly admitted his fault; now it's the turn of the former presidents.
“Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has openly acknowledged his guilt for not being honest with the public on the issues of Artsakh and security. Finally. I expect the same from the other leaders of Armenia, particularly from Serge Sargsyan and Robert Kocharyan. Stop and say that you have not been sincere; you have deceived the people,” said Samsonyan.
“I do not mention Levon Ter-Petrosyan because he resigned due to his inability to promote his own agenda for solving the Artsakh issue,” she added.
It is recalled that today Pashinyan stated, “I am guilty for not telling our people that the international community absolutely recognizes Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, expecting us to also recognize it, expecting that Azerbaijanis who have left Nagorno-Karabakh should be fully involved in the decision-making and governance concerning the future of Nagorno-Karabakh. I am guilty for not being clear and unequivocal that even the unacceptable scenarios proposed to us were not acceptable to Azerbaijan, and representatives of the international community sometimes told us clearly, sometimes diplomatically that all of this would still require convincing Azerbaijan to accept it on the part of Armenia. I was obliged to present all this to our people. Not doing this is my fault.”
