We Must Be Prepared: Ukraine Faces Threat of Terrifying Scenarios, Says Defense Ministry
The Russian army is currently fighting based on the battlefield situation. The enemy's command lacks a strategy, and planning is situational. The opponent is focused on eastern and southern Ukraine. This statement was made by Anna Maliar, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, as reported by korrespondent.net.
She noted that while the area of military operations has decreased, the intensity of the battles does not diminish. According to Maliar, the situation in those areas is complicated.
“The enemy has withdrawn troops from the northern regions to regroup, rest, and strengthen,” Maliar said. The Deputy Minister emphasized that while, before February 24, the Russian Federation had clear strategic plans, such planning is now occurring based on the situation over a period of 'several days.'
“There is a general military concept, but some actions taken by Russian troops and decisions made by Putin fall outside the military logic; they are sometimes emotional and often irrational. Therefore, it is impossible to predict anything here with certainty. We must be prepared for any scenario; there is a danger of terrifying scenarios for Ukraine,” Maliar stated, adding that there is also a risk of the enemy using chemical weapons.
