VIDEO: Vahagn Aleksanyan Removed the Artsakh Flag from the National Assembly Podium

Members of the Civil Contract faction expressed their anger over opposition lawmakers placing the Artsakh flag on the National Assembly podium and their desks. Civil Contract MP Vagharsak Hakobyan stated that putting the Artsakh flag on the podium does not protect Artsakh.

“These individuals, after being in power for 20-30 years, still do not understand how to protect Artsakh. By leading their own people into despair, they are trying to gain cheap political dividends. You are so out of touch with reality that you have no connection to the actual situation. The opposition declared that they are going to Artsakh to protect its citizens. I want to argue the opposite – they are going to Artsakh right now endangering the citizens of Artsakh and Armenia,” said the Civil Contract MP.

Another Civil Contract MP, Vahagn Aleksanyan, approached the podium and removed the Artsakh flag that was placed by Seyran Ohanyan. “When disgrace becomes a destiny, stupidity becomes a daily job, former Ministers of Defense have to come with the Artsakh flag and place it on the National Assembly podium at a time when for 30 years they have been occupied only with theft instead of maintaining the integrity of that flag,” Aleksanyan said. “I urge our citizens not to fall for the empty populism that the opposition is engaged in,” he announced.
