VIDEO: Russian First Channel Correspondent Injured by Shelling in Mariupol
Irina Kuksenkova, a correspondent for the Russian First Channel, was injured during shelling in the special operation zone in Ukraine.
While preparing for another report, Kuksenkova's filming crew came under fire from Ukrainian troops. The correspondent sustained shrapnel injuries to her legs, while the operator and sound technician were unharmed.
"Shrapnel hit both of my legs. The military immediately administered anti-shock measures and transported me to a nearby hospital," Kuksenkova reported.
The correspondent is currently hospitalized, and Russian soldiers saved her from more severe consequences. They were also injured and are receiving treatment at this moment.
