Ukrainian Soldiers Blow Up Dam in Donetsk Region, Homes Submerged

Ukrainian soldiers have blown up a dam in the Donetsk region. This information was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the official representative of the Donetsk People's Militia, Eduard Basurin.

He stated that the explosion of the dam occurred in Sviatohirsk, north of Sloviansk, to prevent the advance of troops. Residential homes near the reservoir have been flooded.

Basurin added that nationalists are threatening to blow up another dam if the troops move forward. This concerns the outlet of the Svitlodarsk reservoir, which, according to him, holds millions of cubic meters of water. This poses a threat to the settlement of Byriak, Basurin emphasized.
