Number of Victims from Gas Explosion in Russia Reaches Six
According to updated data, six people have died as a result of a gas explosion in a residential building in the town of Stupino, near Moscow, including three children.
This information was reported to RIA Novosti by the press service of the regional main office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Earlier, the ministry had informed RIA Novosti that the cause of the incident was a gas leak due to faulty equipment. Initially, only one victim was reported.
The explosion occurred at 05:54 in one of the apartments on the fourth floor of Central Passage. Internal partitions in two apartments were destroyed, while external panels collapsed on the fourth and fifth floors. On the third floor, the walls are leaning, and the windows are shattered.
