Local Self-Government Elections Held in Artsakh Today

Local self-government elections are being held today in the Berdashen community (mayor) of the Martuni region, and in the Norashen, Tsovataq, Sos, Varanda (council members) communities, as well as in the Aknaberd community (council members) of the Shahumyan region.

The Artsakh Republic's Martuni and Shahumyan territorial electoral commissions report that all six polling stations opened at 8:00 AM, and voting has commenced.

According to police reports, there are 2,549 voters registered in the electoral lists for the local self-government elections. Four media outlets have been accredited at the Central Electoral Commission of Artsakh to cover the elections and voting process.

The number of participants in the voting by community will be published every three hours starting from 11:00 AM today.
