Several Changes to the Agenda of the Artsakh Government: Arayik Harutyunyan
The President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, chaired an expanded government meeting today, April 9. The head of the country first presented the recent developments in the Republic's military-political situation and then outlined the key actions that must be undertaken in the public administration system, in accordance with the logic of the current situation.
"We are supporters of stable and lasting peace, but we cannot bargain away our people's demand by renouncing the right to self-determination," said the president, adding that, considering the new geopolitical realities, several changes will be made to the government's agenda as a matter of necessity.
According to President Harutyunyan, discussions will soon commence with political forces to form a unified political agenda, which will primarily be based on the risks arising from external security challenges facing Artsakh. "This is not about forming a coalition government. But we all understand that we need internal coherent unity. Therefore, I urge all government members and all segments of our society to stand by each other so that we can successfully overcome the challenges facing our state and our people," emphasized the head of state.
Arayik Harutyunyan also noted that the Government will implement strict savings of financial resources, which, however, does not mean that the approved programs will not be realized. During the meeting, the President provided several assignments to the responsible representatives of the concerned structures regarding the discussed issues.
