Prime Minister to Visit Moscow on April 19 Following Phone Conversation

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has had a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This information was provided by the Armenian government.

“Nikol Pashinyan informed the Russian President about the results of his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on April 6, mediated by Charles Michel, President of the European Council. The interlocutors emphasized the importance of the agreements on the signing of a peace treaty with Azerbaijan and the launch of delimitation work,” the statement read.

The President of the Russian Federation expressed his readiness to fully support these processes. There was also a discussion regarding the infiltration of Azerbaijani units into the area of responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh. Prime Minister Pashinyan expressed the Armenian side's expectation that Russian peacekeepers would take concrete measures to ensure the withdrawal of the infiltrated Azerbaijani units.

Additionally, Prime Minister Pashinyan and President Putin addressed issues related to economic cooperation between the two countries, agreeing to discuss these matters in detail during Pashinyan's official visit to Russia on April 19.
