38-Year-Old Man Poured Fuel on Victim's Head, Set it on Fire, Then Threw a Firecracker at Him
On April 8, at 7:00 PM, the police department of Erebuni received a report about an explosion on Maharu Street and that there was a victim. A similar alarm was received by the police at 7:05 PM. This was reported by the police press service.
The Erebuni police also received an alert from the "Burn Center" indicating that a 37-year-old man, a resident of Maharu Street, was transferred by ambulance with diagnoses of "3rd and 4th-degree burns to the head, neck, chest, and back."
Officers from the operational-investigative group who arrived at the scene established that at 6:50 PM, during a dispute at the entrance of building 127/1 on Maharu Street, a 38-year-old man poured fuel on the victim's head, set it on fire, and then threw a firecracker at him.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. A forensic medical examination has been appointed. The 38-year-old man has been arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
