We believe that the Russian peacekeeping force will continue to ensure the safety of the residents of Artsakh: Mirzoyan
Armenia continues to believe that the Russian peacekeeping force will succeed in restoring the status quo in the village of Parukh as of March 23. This was stated by Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan during a press conference in Moscow alongside his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, addressing the incursion of Azerbaijani troops near the village of Pakhur and their incomplete withdrawal.
“The peacekeeping force was deployed to maintain the status quo established on November 9. I reiterate that we continue to believe that the status quo will be restored, and the Russian peacekeeping force will continue its crucial mission of ensuring the safety of the residents of Artsakh,” said Mirzoyan.
Speaking about the OSCE Minsk Group, Mirzoyan noted that the current situation has significantly complicated the work of the co-chairs. Nevertheless, it is evident that the position of the Azerbaijani side (that the co-chairs have nothing more to do because the conflict is exhausted) does not receive approval from the international community, as the international community still sees the resolution of the conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group. The Foreign Minister emphasized that this is very reassuring.
