Chinese Foreign Minister Explains Cause of Ukrainian Crisis
The primary cause of the current crisis in Ukraine is the imbalance in the existing security mechanisms in Europe. This was stated by China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi during a phone conversation with the diplomatic adviser to French President Emmanuel Macron, as reported by 'Moscow 24'.
"It is necessary to adhere to the principle of indivisible security and to recreate a balanced and effective security mechanism in Europe. Only in this way can long-term peace and stability be established in Europe," said the Chinese diplomat.
He also noted that all parties should contribute to the peaceful negotiations between Russia and Ukraine and create the necessary conditions for them. "One cannot call for a halt to fire and military operations while continuously supplying large amounts of weaponry, leading to an escalation of military actions," he added.
