Any incursion into Armenian territory will be met with a response from our Armed Forces: Statement from Iran

The elite unit of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has responded to a recent Azerbaijani statement aimed at the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia, which was published in the Azerbaijani newspaper of the New Musavat party. This was reported by the IRGC's Telegram channel.

“Any military incursion into Armenian territory will be met with a response from the Iranian Armed Forces. The Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly stated that it will not allow changes to the borders of neighboring countries,” the Corps' statement reads.

Earlier, the New Musavat publication carried absurd claims from Azerbaijan regarding territorial aspirations towards the Republic of Armenia in the context of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, asserting that “since Armenia is our historical land, we have the right to return it under our control.”
