45 Polish Diplomats to Be Expelled from Russia

45 Polish Diplomats to Be Expelled from Russia

On April 8, the Polish ambassador to Moscow, K. Krayevski, was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry, where a stern protest was expressed regarding an unfounded statement made on March 23 of this year. Russian foreign missions in the Republic of Poland have declared 45 employees as 'persona non grata'. This was stated in a press release from the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“The ambassador was informed that we view this step as a confirmation of Warsaw's conscious desire to definitively undermine bilateral relations. The Polish side bears full responsibility for this. In response to Poland's unfriendly actions of expelling Russian diplomats, based on the principle of reciprocity, 45 employees of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland and the Consulates General of the Republic of Poland in Irkutsk, Kaliningrad, and St. Petersburg have been declared 'persona non grata'. They must leave the territory of the Russian Federation by the end of April 13,” the statement said.
