The Role of Women in Overcoming Our Situation is Crucial: Pashinyan's Congratulatory Message
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's congratulatory message on the occasion of Mother's Day and the Day of Beauty. In particular, the message states:
“Dear women — mothers, sisters, daughters, I warmly congratulate you on the occasion of Mother's Day and the Day of Beauty, which is the pinnacle of the Women's Month. Armenia is perhaps a unique country in terms of the existence of a Women's Month. This has come about due to a series of circumstances, but there is a relevant contemporary agenda here, because the majority of our country's population consists of women.
Yes, during this month we emphasize beauty, we emphasize love, we emphasize respect. But especially this year, I want to emphasize strength, I want to emphasize potential, I want to emphasize the crucial role women play. I want to highlight that solving the issues facing our country requires the full involvement of women in all areas of public life — from the economy to public administration, law enforcement, and security sectors, because if we do not engage women's potential in these areas, it means we are utilizing only partially the already limited opportunities for the country's development.
And if we add the exceptional role of women in solving demographic problems, it becomes clearer why I say that women's role in overcoming our situation is crucial. Providing the opportunity to realize that decisive role is the policy of our government, and we hope to receive your practical support.
On this occasion, I send my warmest words of respect to the mothers, women, sisters, and daughters of our brothers who fell for the defense of the Homeland, emphasizing that they are the full addressees of what I have to say today and that the realization of our fallen heroes' unfinished goals should also serve as a motivation for them and for all of us to live and create.
Dear women — mothers, sisters, daughters: May this day of Mother's Day and Beauty open a new page of optimism and spring for our country.”
