Russia Imposes Sanctions on 228 Individuals, Including Prime Ministers of Australia and New Zealand

The Prime Ministers of Australia and New Zealand, Scott Morrison and Jacinda Ardern, have been included in Russia's sanctions list.

According to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as of April 7 this year, individuals who are banned from entering Russia include members of Australia's National Security Committee, the House of Representatives, the Senate, and regional legislative assemblies.

The measures have been taken in response to the sanctions imposed against Russia, as Canberra has introduced sanctions in a fervent anti-Russian sentiment, adhering obediently to the agenda of the "collective West," which has impacted Russia's high-ranking officials and nearly the entire parliamentary corps.

Overall, 228 individuals are included in the sanctions list. New announcements regarding the expansion of the sanctions "blacklist" will be made soon.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has warned that Australian military personnel, businessmen, experts, and media representatives who "fuel negative attitudes towards our country" will also be included in this list.
