Pope Francis Does Not Disclose Position on Russo-Ukrainian Situation

In the event of a visit to Kyiv, Pope Francis will not take sides with either party in the conflict. This was stated by Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin, as reported by ANSA.

“Of course, the Pope would not go to declare a position in favor of one side or the other,” he said.

It is worth noting that although the leader of the Roman Catholic Church has advocated for a ceasefire in Ukraine and called for diplomatic resolution of the conflict, he has faced criticism for not condemning Russia and its leadership.
