Unjustified Dismantling of Electric Charging Stations on Isahakyan, Arami, and Amiryan Streets: Hayk Harutyunyan
Yerevan Municipality is in favor of smoke, filth, noise, and hazardous emissions. For a year and a half, the charging of electric cars has become a reality in Yerevan. Residents of both the city and the regions were using the charging stations from our eco-cars company. This was stated by the company's executive director Hayk Harutyunyan.
“Electric cars do not pollute the air, they operate quietly, and are considered ecologically clean transportation. But lo and behold, the Yerevan municipality supports dangerous emissions. Instead of creating favorable conditions and clear procedures for the operation of charging stations, neglecting our company’s numerous letters, they are taking drastic measures against us. In April of this year, without any documentation or justification, the electric charging stations on Isahakyan, Arami, and Amiryan streets are being dismantled. We at least hope that this is a manifestation of arbitrariness by the municipality's incompetent officials, not a conscious step aimed at polluting the city’s air and thereby increasing the number of citizens suffering from various diseases,” he wrote.
“Against the backdrop of the serious issues we currently face, hindering the operation of green transport seems like a minor concern. In reality, it is the inability to solve these small issues that demonstrates the miserable and short-sighted policies of the city authorities. We still hope that the municipal authorities will provide a logical explanation justifying this absurd decision,” he added.
