Man Engaged in Currency Exchange Killed with 17 Knife Stabs in Martuni

On April 5, a man engaged in currency exchange was found murdered in Martuni in a particularly brutal manner. His clothing and the weapon used for the crime, a knife, were discovered by authorities.

According to Shamshyan.com, under pressure of the facts, the suspect, Hakob A., a resident of Gegharkunik Province, pointed out to the police and investigators the location of the knife hidden near his home's restroom, which was documented in the presence of witnesses. Following this, he indicated the Vardenyants area (Selim Pass) leading from Gegharkunik Province to Vayots Dzor, where the victim's clothing, which he had concealed, was found.

As reported by G. Shamshyan, the forensic medical center informed authorities on April 6 that the victim's body had sustained 17 knife wounds.
