Even the Rejected Prime Minister Should Understand the Support We Offer Him to Not Present Poorly in Brussels: Karin Tonoyan
Azerbaijan, through its president, constantly declares that Nagorno-Karabakh does not exist. I want to say that they are right—Nagorno-Karabakh no longer exists; it is now the Republic of Artsakh, there is Armenian Artsakh.
This was stated today, April 6, during a demonstration in front of the government by Karin Tonoyan, the leader of the "5165" movement.
He emphasized that the authorities must be compelled to recognize the independence of Artsakh. "This is the first step that will allow our future generations to fight for Artsakh. We cannot be broken by losing just one war; we must find strength again and fight for the liberation and recognition of Artsakh's independence. Without Artsakh, there is no security for Armenia; every Armenian must understand this. If we concede Artsakh today, tomorrow we will concede Syunik, then Yerevan. Every Armenian must understand that Artsakh is a matter of Armenian honor. I want to refute the erroneous notions that recognizing the independence of Artsakh would provoke Azerbaijan into a large-scale war. Must we always live in fear, allowing Artsakh to be gradually captured by what we are afraid of losing?" stated Tonoyan.
He indicated that they will not allow Artsakh to ever be part of Azerbaijan. "We are now showing that there is a people in this country, and even the rejected prime minister must understand the support we are offering him so that he does not present poorly in Brussels," said Karin Tonoyan, the leader of the "5165" movement.
