US Conducted Secret Hypersonic Missile Test in March: CNN
American military personnel tested a hypersonic missile in mid-March, but kept it secret to avoid escalating tensions with Russia. This was reported by CNN, citing a source.
According to a Pentagon representative, the test was successful. U.S. officials decided not to disclose the test to prevent further escalation in relations with Russia, as President Joe Biden was traveling in Europe at the time.
The official stated that the U.S. tested a hypersonic missile developed under the "Hypersonic Air-breathing Weapon Concept" (HAWC). It was launched from a B-52 bomber. The network emphasizes that this is the second successful test of hypersonic weapons within the HAWC program. The first took place in September of last year, according to Interfax.
