“I only know one thing: all problems are solved only by the sword, there is no second option, this is my subjective opinion.” This was stated by the mayor of Goris, Arush Arushanyan, during a rally organized by the opposition in Liberty Square, addressing the question of how he envisions the resolution of existing issues in the country.

When asked about expectations from the Pashinyan-Aliyev meeting, Arushanyan replied: “Seeing all these issues and the handover of most of Artsakh, I expect nothing positive. The world must know that we are ready to fight and defend our homeland. We must earn our moral right to live. In world history, I do not know of any case where issues have been resolved with a pen or by pleading; issues are resolved with weapons,” said Arushanyan.
