Arthur Davtyan Orders NSS to Investigate Circumstances of Release of Hovik Abrahamyan's Son's Villa from Seizure

The Chief Prosecutor Arthur Davtyan has instructed the Investigative Department of the National Security Service to examine the circumstances surrounding the release of Hovik Abrahamyan's son, Argam Abrahamyan's villa from seizure and its immediate sale. This information was reported by the Public Relations Department of the RA Prosecutor General's Office.

“In the criminal case being investigated by the Anti-Corruption Committee, the investigation into the safeguarding of material evidence located at the address of 1/6 Freedom Boulevard in Yerevan, registered under the name of Argam Abrahamyan, as well as the cancellation of the restrictions on the management of that land area without waiting for the outcome of the court's unjust decision to appeal, and the circumstances surrounding the immediate sale of the property have been instructed to be examined by the National Security Service's Investigative Department,” stated the Public Relations Department of the Prosecutor General's Office.

It is noted that a decision has been made in the criminal case recognizing the land of the residential building at 1/6 Freedom Boulevard in Yerevan as material evidence and measures have been taken to ensure its protection as prescribed by law.

“At the same time, a letter has been sent to the RA Cadastre Committee to immediately inform the investigating authority in case of receiving requests for transactions regarding the land located at the address of 1/6 Freedom Boulevard, Yerevan, before any transaction is made. Measures are being taken to impose legal restrictions on the funds paid for the land parcel. The preliminary investigation of the criminal case continues. Additionally, based on the decision of the prosecutor overseeing the legality of the preliminary investigation in the aforementioned criminal case being investigated by the RA Anti-Corruption Committee, the investigator has been removed from the case due to a violation of the law,” added the Public Relations Department of the Prosecutor General's Office.
