Azerbaijan is Lying: Gas Supply in Artsakh Will Not Be Restored, Says Artsakhgas

Attention!!! On March 27, several Azerbaijani media outlets spread news that allegedly Azerbaijani "Azerigaz" had eliminated the consequences of the gas pipeline accident in Artsakh and that gas supply would be restored from March 29.

We inform you that the aforementioned statement is false and provocative misinformation aimed at exploiting the existing difficult situation and misleading the Armenian population of Artsakh and the international community in the information sphere.

It should be noted that natural gas enters the territory of the Republic of Artsakh only through one pipeline from the territory of the Republic of Armenia, and the gas supply company is Gazprom Armenia LLC (a 100% subsidiary of Gazprom). The acceptance and distribution of natural gas from this pipeline to its subscribers is carried out by Artsakhgas LLC. Therefore, the Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR or its subsidiary "Azerigaz" cannot have any connection to the gas supply process in the Republic of Artsakh. This is simply excluded both technically and geographically.

This statement once again confirms that after blowing up the pipeline in the vicinity of Shushi on March 8 and obstructing its repair for days, the Azerbaijani side deliberately installed a valve on the pipeline, using adverse weather conditions to create humanitarian additional problems for the population of Artsakh. This was reported by the management of Artsakhgas LLC.
