Robert Kocharyan Injured While Skiing: Hraparak
Second President Robert Kocharyan was injured a few weeks ago while skiing in Tsaghkadzor, according to Hraparak.am, which reports that he has been receiving treatment for some time.
According to the news outlet, while he has not been hospitalized, he is receiving treatment at home due to the severity of his injuries. “The second president’s health issues are known only to his closest circle; many within his ‘Armenia’ Alliance remain unaware. It has been decided to keep this information private, as it is likely seen as detrimental to Robert Kocharyan’s image. This injury is the reason he did not attend the previous court session,” the report states. During the March 29 session, Kocharyan’s lawyer, Hovhannes Khudoyan, informed the court that Kocharyan could not attend due to health issues, providing relevant medical documentation and stating that preliminary estimates indicated treatment would last about 10 days.
Due to these health issues, Kocharyan is also not expected to attend tomorrow's rally, although responses from his team on this matter have been ambiguous, suggesting that the second president's supporters might be disappointed and not show up due to his absence.
Member of Parliament from the ‘Armenia’ Alliance, Agnesa Khmoyan, when asked if Robert Kocharyan will participate in tomorrow's rally, referred to the medical documentation presented by his lawyers in court and added, “I can only hope that the president's health issues will allow him to attend the rally; I cannot provide more details at this moment as I myself do not have full information.” When asked for clarification on whether he will participate or not, she stated, “I have no further information to share at this time.”
