Pentagon on Events Involving Civilians in Bucha

America does not have an independent verification or report regarding the events involving civilians in the Bucha suburb of Kyiv. This was stated by a Pentagon spokesperson during a conversation with reporters.

"We cannot independently verify the reports of atrocities in Bucha... We cannot confirm that independently and on our own," he specifically told journalists.

It should be reminded that this morning, journalists from the international news agency Associated Press captured at least 21 bodies in one of the suburbs of the Ukrainian capital. The bodies, with bound hands, gunshot wounds at close range, and signs of torture, were scattered in the Bucha area after Russian military personnel left the region.

In turn, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov described the events in Bucha as staged and fake news.
