Nikol Pashinyan Sends Message to Vladimir Putin
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
In the message, he stated: “Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, I sincerely congratulate you on the significant anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation. Over the past decades, through joint efforts, Armenian-Russian relations have been elevated to the highest level of allied cooperation, characterized by stable development in all areas of inter-state cooperation.
The stable and continually enriched bilateral legal framework is based on the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation, and Mutual Assistance between the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation, the 25th anniversary of which we will commemorate this August, and the Declaration on Allied Cooperation directed towards the 21st century.
The allied relations between Armenia and Russia are founded on deep-rooted traditions of friendship and brotherhood. This powerful unifying factor serves as a basis for enhancing effective cooperation between our countries in military-political, economic, industrial, trade, interregional, humanitarian, and educational fields.
Thanks to active political dialogue and consistent implementation of high-level agreements, we continue to coordinate our foreign policy within international platforms, such as the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Eurasian Economic Union, and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
We highly appreciate the efforts of the Russian Federation and your personal contribution to achieving a ceasefire in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, as well as securing favorable living conditions in Nagorno-Karabakh. I hope that the activities of the Russian peacekeeping forces will serve to strengthen the ceasefire regime in Nagorno-Karabakh and ensure peaceful life for the population on their land.
I am confident that all these efforts will lead to the establishment of stability and security in our region, and that Russia's ongoing mediation efforts, including within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship, will be fully directed towards the political and diplomatic resolution of the conflict.
The Armenian community in Russia also makes a valuable contribution to strengthening friendship between our countries. I am confident that the mutual aspiration to deepen Armenian-Russian cooperation, along with reliable dialogues at high and highest levels, will continue to determine our joint efforts for the benefit of our countries, strengthening stability and security in the South Caucasus, which undoubtedly aligns with the strategic interests of our peoples and states.”
