Baltic States Refuse Russian Gas

Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia have completely abandoned Russian natural gas supplies since April. According to Uldis Bariss, the operator of the Latvian gas transmission system Conexus Baltic Grid, Russia's decision to demand payment in rubles for gas has prompted the Baltic states to sharply reduce the volume of supplies, as they can no longer be relied upon.
