«This Will Not Happen»: What Zelensky Is Prepared to Do for a Peace Agreement
The territorial integrity of Ukraine is the main topic of negotiations with the Russian Federation. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with Fox News.
In a conversation with journalists, Zelensky noted that it is difficult to predict the timelines for the end of the war, calling it a "deep, painful question," while emphasizing that the Ukrainian people will accept nothing less than victory.
When asked whether the president is willing to make territorial concessions to Russia for the sake of signing a peace agreement, Zelensky replied that this will not happen. "We are not trading our territory; the issues of territorial integrity and sovereignty are not subject to discussion," he stated.
Zelensky also mentioned that Ukraine expects commitments from the world’s "leading countries" that the security of the Ukrainian state will be protected by the agreement.
