Shooting in Yerevan: One Person with Gunshot Wound, Another Stabbed Taken to Hospital
On April 1, at around 23:55, the Malatya Division of the Police received a report from "Astghik" Medical Center regarding a man who had been admitted with a "cut-punctured wound to the left thigh." According to shamshyan.com from the scene, an operational group from the Malatya Division of Police, led by Division Head Andranik Meloyan, was dispatched to the hospital.
Ten minutes later, another report was received from the same hospital at the Malatya Division, indicating that a citizen had been admitted with a "gunshot wound to the left heel." Medical staff informed the police that the injured individuals were unable to provide explanations regarding the incident.
Police have identified the victims as Yerevan residents: 25-year-old Hamlet Sargsyan, who had been stabbed, and 26-year-old Vram Poghossyan, who had suffered a gunshot wound.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. Police and investigators have also determined that the injured sustained their wounds in the backyard area of 115 Babajanyan Street. Evidence collected from the crime scene includes one fired cartridge of 9 mm caliber and traces of what appears to be blood.
