Video: Ukrainian Side on Incident at Belgorod Oil Depot
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has neither confirmed nor denied the alleged attack by Ukrainian forces on the oil depot in Belgorod. The Ukrainian side claims that Russian forces left Hostomel with minimal resistance. Ukrainian media reports that the town of Borodyanka in the Kyiv region has returned under Ukrainian control.
Alexey Arestovich, advisor to the head of the Ukrainian President's office, commented on the events in Belgorod: “What is happening on the territory of the Russian Federation is the responsibility of the Russian leadership, and they need to clarify what happened in Belgorod.”
It is noted that today a major fire broke out at the oil depot in the Russian city of Belgorod. According to Vyacheslav Gladkov, the head of the regional government, the fire was triggered by rocket fire from two helicopters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which “entered Russian territory at a low altitude.” Belgorod is only 30 kilometers from the Ukrainian border and 60 kilometers from the city of Kharkiv.
