The Russian peacekeeping force continues to carry out its tasks in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. This was reported today, April 1, in the information summary published by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“Russian peacekeepers are conducting round-the-clock monitoring at 27 observation posts and controlling the observance of the ceasefire regime. No violations have been recorded in the area of responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.

Four columns of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan have been escorted through the Lachin corridor, two in the northern and two in the southern directions.

Patrols have been conducted in four directions: Askeran, Martakert, Martuni regions, and the Lachin corridor.

Since November 23, 2020, the engineering and sappers groups of the Russian peacekeeping contingent have cleared 2,358.9 hectares of territory, 689.5 km of roads, and 1,937 buildings from unexploded mines and ordnance, discovering and neutralizing 26,257 explosive objects.

Continuous cooperation is maintained with the general staffs of the armed forces of Azerbaijan and Armenia to ensure the security of Russian peacekeepers and prevent possible incidents,” the summary states.
