How Much Money Can Individuals Transfer from Their Russian Accounts Abroad? New Limits Set
The Bank of Russia has established new limits for individual monetary transfers abroad for a period of six months. This information was reported on the Central Bank's website.
Within one month, an individual can transfer up to $10,000 or the equivalent in other currencies from their account at a Russian bank to the account of either themselves or another individual located abroad. "Through companies providing money transfer services without opening an account, you can transfer no more than $5,000 or the equivalent in other currencies per month," the announcement states.
These rules apply to residents and non-residents of countries that do not support sanctions, as well as all other non-residents of states working in Russia under employment or civil law contracts.
