How Much Money and What Property Has Italy Seized from Russians Under Sanctions?

Italy has seized property worth 900 million euros from Russians who have fallen under European sanctions. This was announced by the country’s Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio on March 31.

“So far we can talk about a total amount of 900 million euros. We have acted quickly and consistently and will continue to do so,” the Italian Foreign Minister stated.

Previously, on March 16, it was reported that Russian businessman Andrey Melnychenko’s yacht had been detained in Italy, while Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich managed to save his yacht by removing it outside the country’s borders.
