“Can I be a puffer with a turban?”: Avan Deputy Mayor on the Detected Syringe
As it became known, during the search conducted at the home of Nerses Poghosyan, the deputy head of the Avan administrative district in Yerevan, law enforcement officers discovered a small amount of hashish.
Regarding this topic, lurer.com spoke with Deputy Mayor Nerses Poghosyan, who stated that he believes there are special commissioned individuals plotting against him. “I know very well who is behind all this; give it a little time, and we will find out who it is. Maybe I am a puffer with a turban? I have run through the roads that the commissioners crossed during the day with my eyes closed at night. That much I will say, let the rest understand, and let’s wait for the fireworks,” noted Nerses Poghosyan, quoting the words of a military leader.
When asked about the reason he believes that someone wants to obstruct him, he replied that it is due to his honest working style. “No one can say that Mr. Poghosyan, while working here, has earned even 1000 drams on top of his salary, if he hasn’t brought even 1000 drams into the community, he certainly hasn’t taken out any. And if you work like this, naturally, you hurt many,” he said, adding that it was long overdue to close the syringe topic as it is tiresome, and that there are more serious issues in the country.
He is convinced that now every second person outside has a syringe in their pocket, but he cannot understand why his name is being brought up specifically. “Let them go see what is happening in the streets; go out and stop the young people; from 12 of them, you will pull a syringe from their pockets. You only see Mr. Poghosyan standing there; it’s good, we caught Poghosyan on the kick. It doesn't work this way; Mr. Poghosyan had nothing to do,” concluded the interviewee.
