«We have great respect for the Islamic religion, but what Azerbaijan is doing is violence» - Pashinyan
The Azerbaijani armed forces continue to make intimidating statements to the residents of several villages in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during the Government meeting.
He specifically noted that Azerbaijanis are using loudspeakers to demand people leave their homes, threatening to forcibly remove them if they do not comply. According to him, this is an obvious demand for ethnic cleansing.
“At night, Azerbaijanis are broadcasting Muslim prayers through loudspeakers. We have great respect for the Islamic religion, but what Azerbaijan is doing is violence against people's conscience and freedom of religion, a means of inciting religious hatred, and ultimately insults the religious sentiments of our compatriots,” he stated, declaring that Azerbaijan is pursuing a policy aimed at depriving Artsakh of everything Armenian.
