Aliyev: 'We Must Sign This Document as Soon as Possible'
The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, confirmed during a meeting with the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau, that he plans to meet with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Brussels on April 6 and insisted that a peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan should be signed as soon as possible. This was reported by the Interfax Azerbaijan agency.
"The EU has announced that a meeting with the Prime Minister of Armenia is planned with the mediation of European Council President Charles Michel. I hope this meeting will be effective. There have already been several meetings, and we need to move forward to sign a peace treaty and conclude this document as soon as possible. Azerbaijan has presented its visions on this issue," Aliyev stated.
