Referendum on South Ossetia Joining Russia May Be Held in May or June
The referendum on South Ossetia's entry into Russia may take place in May or June. The first deputy chairman of the State Duma's CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Committee, Viktor Vodolatskin, regarded the republic's accession to Russia as a dream for many of its residents since 2008.
